STEPS TO YOUR
Construction Contractors Board LICENSE (CCB) 1 Obtain your Education Packet
Packet includes Study Log, Contractor Reference Manual,
Oregon Revised Statues (ORS), Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR), License
Application, Exam Book, and Post-Exam Evaluation Form.
2 To Study for the State Test
Focus your study on the OBJECTIVES listed at the beginning of each chapter in
the
Reference Manual. While all the information contained in the reference
manual, and other information provided is valuable for your business to be
successful,
the Chapter Objectives are what you must know to pass the test. Check your
knowledge
by completing the test in the exam book and then checking the correct answers.
This
should show you if and where further study may be needed.
3 Return Completed Study Log
Please return the completed study log to our office (BMBIA).
4 Take State Test
Call PSI (Psychological Services, Inc.) at 1-800-733-9267 to schedule time and
place to take test. Check PSI bulletin for waiting periods and rescheduling
requirements if you do not pass on your first attempt.
There is on average a two-three day waiting period after completing your
education course before you can schedule the test.
5 Gather Together
Your registered business name, Tax ID Number, PSI Test Report, proof of out-of-
state registration if applicable, original Surety Bond and Certificate of
Liability Insurance.
Call your local insurance agent or for bond and insurance.
6 Complete your CCB Application and attach bond and insurance certificate.
Take or mail your Application, original surety Bond and Certificate of General
Liability
Insurance to the CCB. If you enclose a copy of your PSI score report you can get
licensed immediately after passing the test.
