6 STEPS TO YOUR Construction Contractors Board LICENSE (CCB)

1 Obtain your Education Packet
Packet includes Study Log, Contractor Reference Manual, Oregon Revised Statues (ORS), Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR), License Application, Exam Book, and Post-Exam Evaluation Form.

2 To Study for the State Test
Focus your study on the OBJECTIVES listed at the beginning of each chapter in the Reference Manual. While all the information contained in the reference manual, and other information provided is valuable for your business to be successful, the Chapter Objectives are what you must know to pass the test. Check your knowledge by completing the test in the exam book and then checking the correct answers. This should show you if and where further study may be needed.

3 Return Completed Study Log
Please return the completed study log to our office (BMBIA).

4 Take State Test
Call PSI (Psychological Services, Inc.) at 1-800-733-9267 to schedule time and place to take test. Check PSI bulletin for waiting periods and rescheduling requirements if you do not pass on your first attempt. There is on average a two-three day waiting period after completing your education course before you can schedule the test.

5 Gather Together
Your registered business name, Tax ID Number, PSI Test Report, proof of out-of- state registration if applicable, original Surety Bond and Certificate of Liability Insurance. Call your local insurance agent or for bond and insurance.

6 Complete your CCB Application and attach bond and insurance certificate.
Take or mail your Application, original surety Bond and Certificate of General Liability Insurance to the CCB. If you enclose a copy of your PSI score report you can get licensed immediately after passing the test.
